Might and Magic – recht düster daher kommen.

A Stroke of Fate

Date: February 23, 2010
Feature: Interview

PT Boats: Knights of the Sea
Resource: SimHQ
Date: January 22, 2010
Feature: Review
Quotation: "The actual gameplay is great. You can play from a 3rd person view, issuing driver orders like a first person shooter (using the W,S,A,D keys) to your PT Boat or Destroyer. You can fire torpedoes with an estimate or pull up the detailed torpedo targeting device.
You can access a first person view of any of the guns on the PT Boats (but not other ships), or sight in with the machine gun sight and let loose; it's a lot of fun. But in game, if you want to play it properly, you will want to play in tactical view. Tactical view lets you view all of the ships from a map view, select different ships, issue orders, assign waypoints, assign targets, lay out smoke screens, engage certain targets, or defend certain targets. You can do this with individual ships or all of them, or in different groups. You can assign formations to the ships, or order zig-zag tactics. There are really have two games in one here; PT Boats can be played as a first or third person shooter, and/or as a tactical strategic game. Both are great fun, and play well."

Quotation: "What kind of monsters can we expect to slay in the game? Are you putting your own twists on some of the ancient greek mythological monsters or are you lifting straight from the standard mythos?
We surely wouldn't dare to omit some of the monsters one would expect to find in a game like this but we've also managed to smoothly blend in some creatures that were not present in any other games"

The Bad, The Ugly, and the Sober
Resource: Game Zone
Date: December 23, 2009
Feature: Interview
Quotation: "Although sometimes you’ll understand that Jack is not that good guy or kind of a prince of this tale. To be honest, Jack is not so much better than the guys he’s dealing with or even fighting against.”
It must be a difficult time for filmmakers who want to produce new westerns. No matter the potential, westerns are no longer on Hollywood's hot list. Consequently, it couldn't be easy to develop a video-game western either. After all, many of today's games are influenced by movies and TV. Regardless of the challenges ahead, that didn't stop one courageous developer from pushing forward with The Bad, The Ugly and The Sober..."

Feature: Interview
Quotation: "Jakiekolwiek myśli o pójściu z serią do konsol?
Jasne, trochę o tym rozmyślaliśmy. Jednakże wszyscy fani Disciples to gracze PeCetowi - a jednoczesne tworzenie wersji konsolowej sprawiłoby, że praca byłaby jeszcze cięższa i pożerająca więcej czasu.

PT Boats: Knights of the Sea
Resource: WarGamer
Date: November 14, 2009
Feature: Interview
Quotation: "The Wargamer (WG): The subject of PT Boats as a game seems obvious in retrospect, but I have to wonder why it hasn't been done before. What inspired you to make a game about PT Boats and what kinds of challenges has the subject presented that you haven't seen before?
Anisimov Maxim (AM): The idea of making a game dedicated to torpedo boats was born quite a while ago, at the time when publishing company "Akella" was working on Sea Dogs. Watching the majestic galleons slowly crossing the sea, the developers naturally thought that it might be better if the ships would sail just a tad faster - since at that rate people would grow long beards when the ships finally reached their destinations. At some point Dmitry Arkhipov (VP of Development at Akella) suggested to introduce a torpedo boat model into the game - just to see how it's gonna play. That boat was rushing among the ships like a horselfy in a herd of cows - and people really enjoyed it. But Sea Dogs really needed to be finished soon, so we had to put the idea with the torpedo boats on ice for a while."
