It is may of 1945, the Soviet troops have already entered Berlin and advanced the units of the Major General Rusakovs division to meet with the Americans on the Elbe. The “Golden Pheasants,” the senior officials of NSDAP, who did not want to share the fate of their Fuhrer were hastily departed from Berlin …

The decision on the all-out mobilization was adopted in Germany in December 1944. It calls for all men from the ages of 16 to 60 years who have not yet served. Gauleiters managed to create about 700 new battalions, but equipping them left much to be desired. There was a trophy rifle and eight cartridges for every eight men. 

The Poster “For freedom and life”, calls for men to join the Folksshturm.

The Minister of Propaganda, Goebbels, remains in a bunker under the reich chancellery together with the Fuhrer and is forced to share his cabinet with Dr. Shtumpfegger. It is in this room where the episode depicted on the screen shot takes place.

Reichminister of public education and propaganda or the third reich’s Joseph Paul Goebbels. He was the one who coined the phrase “A lie said a thousand times becomes the truth”.

The main hero of the game, a German patriot, and ironically a Gestapo officer, Gerhard Detlef Mayer is standing under the anatomical poster where he found doctor Shtumpfegger’s safebox. At the exact moment when Mayer is trying to pick the locks combination, the reyhsminister Goebbels appears.

What should Mayer do? Should he attempt to justify the facts with the story that the personal physician of the Fuhrer asked him to bring the necessary papers from the safe himself?

Or should he present the case as if the Chief of the Fuhrer’s guard gruppenfurer SS Rattenhuber suspected that the doctor was trying to poison Hitler, and that Mayer is carrying out an urgent investigation in connection with all of this?

Or simply to pull a gun and take reyhsminister as a hostage? .. The gamer will have to decide. And this is a street of Berlin during the City’s worst days of the war.

Soviet artillery has destroyed homes, intimidated residents prepare bean broth on the open fire, and hundreds of people are dying while standing in line for drinking water. Posters calling to join Folksshturm hang in the city. Deserters were ruthlessly hanged on trees growing near the road, and anti-tank urchins littered the roads. This is what the capital of Germany looked like during that period…

This ruthless time may prove to be more frightening to Mayer than the enemy itself because of these week but cunning people.

Where does one find gasoline in a fuel difficient situation? How does one survive, if while in uniform, you are considered one who has betrayed the future of Germany, and thousands of people dream of suffocating you with their bare hands. And, without your uniform, you are a deserter and betrayer of the Third Reich. Former colleagues, with whom you used to drink expensive wine in luxurious restaurants, will not hesitate to shoot you in the forehead?

What are you to do, if a friend to whom you owe your life, is dying in prison from beatings and starvation? And, at the same time, while Hitler continues to live, the world is in constant threat of another great tragedy. And only you can stop the Fuhrer.

Commit to the impossible, that is the fate of the true German patriot, and the gamer will have to share with him this fate.
